Microsoft can be considered a household name, often associated with both operating systems and office productivity suites. The latest version of Microsoft Office to be released is Office 365, a cloud based version aimed at small businesses. With the impending release of Windows 8, Microsoft has also updated Office 365 and the upgrade could cause a problem for businesses operating on older operating systems.
At a recent event centered around the latest version of Microsoft Office, Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft announced that Office 365 will no longer be compatible with Microsoft Windows XP and Vista.

At the event, Microsoft unveiled the most up-to-date version of Office 365, complete with a touch based user interface, increased cloud support and better integrated social functions. While it certainly looks like a great update, users of legacy OSs (Windows Vista, XP, etc.) will have to upgrade if they want to use this new version of Office 365 which is scheduled for release in early 2013.
